5th edition of How to Manage Residential Property... released
Alamo, CA, October 26, 1998-The 5th edition of How to Manage Residential Property for Maximum Cash Flow and Resale Value has just been released. The new edition features the Internet as a tool for landlords as well as a resource for finding additional information about property management.
The 4th edition of How to Manage Residential Property for Maximum Cash Flow and Resale Value sold out in 1997. Author-publisher John T. Reed considered simply reprinting the book, but when he reviewed it, he found no mention of the Internet. "You cannot write about property management in 1998 without talking about the Internet. Almost all apartment-for-rent advertising will probably move to the Net in the near future. The Net is also a tremendous resource for everyone including landlords and property managers. I had to add Internet addresses for many of the information sources to which I refer people."
Other additions to the new edition include

Reed was a salaried property manager of over 400 units. He was also landlord of his own apartments for 23 years. Over 25,000 copies of How to Manage Residential Property for Maximum Cash Flow and Resale Value have been sold since the book first came out in 1985. Reed is also the author and publisher of Real Estate Investor's Monthly, a nationwide newsletter, as well as seven other real estate investment books. He holds a B.S. degree from West Point and a M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
